which brand is the best ? I say PP, but my wife wants me to buy AP, but i think both PP %26amp; VC is better
what do you guys think. it's my 1st luxury wristwatch and i dont want to make a mistake.
10 points for a reasonable suggestion :)|||These brands are all Top Ten ones in price and prestige. Patek Philippe sells for higher prices at auctions, so it is the best investment. All of these brands are very high in quality. Patek began in 1839, Vacheron began in 1755, and Audemars began in 1875. I would say, other than an investment, just buy the brand that has the watch you like best. In the sports line, Audemars has the distinctive "Royal Oak", Patek has the "Nautilus", and Vacheron has the "Overseas". In basic round dress models, Patek has the "Calatrava", Vacheron has the "Patrimony", and Audemars has "Jules Audemars" variations. I know a man who owns several watches by each of these brands, including Pateks made in 1893 and 1926, a Vacheron made in 1902, and some recent Audemars. Incidentally, Patek made the most valuable pocketwatch, the 1932 "Graves Supercomplication" that sold for $11,002,500 at a 1999 auction, Vacheron made the most valuable wristwatch, the 1981 "Kallista" that was valued at $9,000,000 in 2000, and Audemars made a wristwatch in 1997 that sold for $2,000,000 then. I have seen a book about the costliest watch brands, and they were 1. Breguet, 2. Patek Philippe, 3. Vacheron Constantin, 4. A. Lange %26amp; Sohne, 5. Harry Winston, 6. Franck Muller, 7. Piaget, 8.
