In posters and ads, why are WRISTWATCHES TIMED AT 10:10?

You know those printed advertisements from Breguet, Rolex, etc., all the watches seem to be timed at 10:10 or 10:11.

What is the best explanation?

If it is for aesthetics, how come it's always 10:10? 1:50 seems to be pleasing to the eyes.|||For starters the symmetry is aesthetically pleasing. I know, I know, you're saying "but 1:50 is symetrical too". Yes, it is. 10:10, however, makes the hands much closer to a right angle, which itself is asthetically pleasing. Why not 8:20 then? This looks kind of "pointed", almost violent in nature. 10:10 look more like open arms (outstretched to the heavens, etc.).

Frankly, I think they took a bunch of differnet times, showed them to people and asked them what looked better, and they went with the most popular: 10:10.|||If you noticed, most wristwatches have their brand right under the number "12". When the hands is placed at 10:10, they'll frame the brand of the wristwatch in an enclosed space and draw the eyes towards the logo/brand. It's a lot like photography where you lead your viewer's eyes to the subject. Sneaky subliminal things.|||The better question is this: Why do people notice trends like this?
