for sake of argument lets use a major city in the midwest as well
as summers at the lake.
i believe that a rolex says a lot about a person as people recoginize
it when they dont recognize the 5-6 other quality watches like patek
phillipe and vacheron constantin.
the sport watches are the most immitated by other companies and
seem to be less likely to draw negative attention unless made of
solid 14 or 18 karat to which most people thing its fake.
the president if tastefully done in white gold or platinum is still
a reasonable way to enjoy a quality watch without causing too
much resentment or attention.
the yellow gold models , especially with lots of diamonds seem
to be a major turnoff except for las vegas, la or miami where
replicas are the rule not the exception.
and
of course they have some new models but its still the same
watch made the same way except for the price that keeps
going up at or greater than the rate of inflation.
should a person own a rolex ?|||Twenty three years ago I bought a wind up watch at the seaside. Today, it is still working and keeps excellent time. I bought a watch to let me know the time. Not for show. I don't go for bling. It is for showy people who like to show off. I am not impressed.|||Its sort of a status symbol, and bling bling if you can afford it!
I like the platnium ones with diamonds.|||What do I think of Rolex watches? I think they are way to expensive. I don't believe I will ever own one. And I hate people who wear them.|||There's nothing wrong with wearing one. I'm not a guy, but I like to wear my Coach watch, which is somewhat just as easily noticeable by its massive C.
