Watch question? Opinions would be appreciated.?

Please help me make up my mind. Someone has offered to get me a fine watch for my birthday coming up soon. Price is not an issue. I am not sure if I want a modern wristwatch or an antique pocket watch. I have narrowed it down to a new Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea wristwatch or a 100 year old mint condition Vacheron and Constantin gold pocket watch still in the original box. I likely would not be planning to wear either and they both cost about the same. All I want to know is if you were in my shoes which one would you take? Thanks|||Take the pocket watch, it will be worth a lot of money. The rolex you lose money.
